Rhode Island Boatbuilder Sees Consumer Growth

Projo.com: Since being hit hard by the recession that hurt Rhode Island’s boat building industry, the Pearson Marine Group has changed its name, concentrated its effort on 3 distinctive boat brands, and experienced modest but steady job growth.
Formerly Pearson Composites, the Warren, Rhode Island, company became Pearson Marine Group in December.
Vice president Scott C. Bryant said the new name reflects the company’s focus on the marine business. He said the company is no longer doing contract work for other companies or making composite parts outside the boating industry.
