RI Boaters Adapting in Poor Economy

Projo.com: The economy might be flatter than a pond on a still day. But Rhode Island boaters are still finding ways to enjoy life on the water.

“You have to adjust with the times,” said Anthony Marcello of Cranston. “You still want to get the enjoyment, even if that means spending less money.”

Marcello was sitting in the back of his boat, a 32′ Cruisers model, berthed at D dock at Brewer Greenwich Bay Marina. “We still go out, but just not as much. Back and forth to Jamestown, you’re talking $300.”
