December 23, 2015
Crews with the Army Corp of Engineers have been removing large rocks and hard-packed material from the channel and channel edges in Little Narragansett Bay, according to the Westerly Sun. The crews are working an area between the western tip of Sandy Point and Elihu Island. They also are removing rocks just outside the channel, where boaters not familiar with the local waters sometimes hit bottom.
