Sail Cape Cod to Host First Aid/CPR, Boating Safety Certification Courses

Sail Cape Cod, a non-profit community sailing program, will host the following Certification Training Courses:

First Aid/CPR Certification (American Red Cross)

This 1-day course provides American Red Cross certification training in First Aid, CPR and AEDs, and will also include a section on Boating Medical Emergencies

Date: Monday, May 11

Time: 5:30pm – 9:30pm (1 day course)

Fee: $95 (includes course materials)

NASBLA Boating Safety Certfication

This 2-day course covers rules of the road, aids to navigation, boat handling skills, and chart work, and is approved by the North American Safe Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). Adults who take the course are eligible for a discount on their boat insurance. Youths between the ages of 12 and 15 wishing to operate a boat in Massachusetts without adult supervision, and personal watercraft users who are 16 or 17 years of age must complete a Safe Boating course.

Times:  5:30pm – 9:30pm (2 day course)

Fee: $95 (includes course materials)
