Sail Portsmouth Cancelled Due to Boston Event

Organizers have cancelled New Hampshire’s annual Sail Portsmouth event because of the number of tall ships only participating in Sail Boston, according to an article on SeacoastOnline.com.

Chad Chadwick, chairman of the Piscataqua Maritime Commission (PMC), said the nonprofit had to scrap its plans for this year’s event because tall ships they wanted to get signed a non-compete clause to participate in Sail Boston 2017.
