Sailboat Catches Fire After Striking High-Tension Wires

A sailboat caught fire at around 3:00 p.m. on the Weweantic River between Marion and Wareham, Massachusetts, after it struck high-tension wires that cross the river in the area of Briarwood Beach, just south of Rte. 6.

Two people were onboard the boat, but no injuries were reported. Sea Tow was on scene to salvage the boat.
