Sailor Rescued in Long Island Sound

New Haven Register reports that the Coast Guard rescued a 50-year-old man early this morning (November 30) in Long Island Sound, some 2 miles south of the New Haven buoy.
The Coast Guard received a call at around 2:30 a.m. from the man, who originally said that his boat was taking on water. When rescuers arrived on scene, they found the man on a 24’ sailboat. At this point he was complaining of chest pains. He was removed from the boat and taken to the hospital. The boat was secured and was scheduled to be retrieved later today.
