Scituate, MA, Eagle Scout Documents History of Lobstering
November 8, 2012
Wicked Local Scituate: Jason LeBlanc was not particularly intrigued by the details and history of the lobster industry, but since completing his Eagle Scout project, he has become something of an expert on the subject.
The 15-year-old Scituate resident recently put the finishing touches on an exhibit for the Scituate Maritime & Irish Mossing Museum that chronicles the evolution of the lobster trap; something quite pertinent to the area considering Scituate’s longstanding ties to the lobster business.
“I have seen firsthand the amount of work put in to getting that lobster onto your plate, and let me tell you, it’s quite a lot,” he said.
