Sea Tow Captains Honored for Peconic Bay Rescue

Suffolk Times: Sea Tow Services International presented 12 awards for lifesaving efforts and “for efforts above and beyond” the call of duty at a Nov. 18 [2014] awards banquet in West Palm Beach, FL.

Among those honored “for efforts above and beyond” were Bill Barker, a captain for Sea Tow in Southold, and Garrett Moore, a part-time Sea Tow captain. In September, Mr. Barker and Mr. Moore helped rescue 6 Connecticut men who were ejected into Peconic Bay after driver of a speed boat lost control of the boat near Claudio’s Restaurant in Greenport.
