Cape Sailing Program for Kids Seeks Funds

Since 1950, the Namequoit Sailing Association on Cape Cod has operated out of a ranch-style house in Orleans with a small deck and little fanfare. Down a narrow dirt road behind Kent’s Point, they run a tiny fleet of sailboats, mostly for kids.
Now, according to CapeCodOnline.com, the association is launching a two-year capital campaign to raise $60,000 to replace some of the boats used for the sailing lessons. Member dues and lesson fees don’t cover everything, and the association members want to keep lessons affordable.
