Stamford, CT, Dock Extension Ruling Upheld

Stamford Advocate: The Connecticut state Supreme Court has upheld a trial court’s ruling that 2 Waterside neighborhood associations were legally permitted under state law to expand a 100-year-old dock on the west side of Stamford Harbor.
The recently rendered decision effectively ends a lengthy legal battle waged by Jerome Rapoport, an area resident whose property is adjacent to the dock.
Had the court ruled in favor of Rapoport, the decision could have resulted in major changes in the way Stamford and the state’s other 3-dozen shoreline communities regulate development.
