Stan Gibbs Statue Funding Drive Moves Forward

Wicked Local Bourne reports that efforts to fund the creation and installation of a bronze statue depicting the great surf fisherman and lure-maker Stan Gibbs on the banks of the Cape Cod Canal have reached the halfway point.

The goal is to raise a total of $80,000, which will underwrite final design and construction of the statue, which would stand in the Main Street Park near the Wagner Family Gazebo, adjacent to the Canal.

Fundraising bricks are being sold to raise the additional funds. The bricks will come in 3 sizes: 4”x8” ($50); 8”x8” ($125); and 12”x12” ($200).
