Stratford, CT, Residents Oppose Private Pier
April 5, 2012
CTPost.com: More than 40 residents gathered at Town Hall last week to oppose a Lordship couple’s application to build a 68’ pier extending from their waterfront property into Long Island Sound.
Charles King and Cathleen Woods-King of 295 Bayview Blvd. are seeking state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection approval to restore the seawall on their property and construct a steel pier and boatlift with a retractable ladder.
The pier would extend over a public beach, forcing passersby to walk beneath it during low tide.
