Striped Bass Record-Holder Branches Out
September 24, 2012
New Haven Register: Greg Myerson won The Striper Cup bass fishing challenge in 2010 and 2011, punctuating the latter with a world record, an 81-pounder that made him a star in the fishing world.
He recently was recognized in a kinder-gentler category: the all-tackle length record of 113 centimeters (about 3.7’) for a May 30 catch while fishing 6 Mile Reef off Westbrook. That fish should be out there still, since it was a catch-and-release category.
