Tiara Yachts’ stunning 44 Coupe features quality construction, a great ride and remarkable attention to detail—plus it’s packed with enough standard features to please any hardcore cruiser.

Powered by twin 435-hp Volvo IPS 600 diesels, the 44 has an optimum cruise of between 25.7 mph (3008 rpm/.82 mpg) and 30.9 mph (3300 rpm/.84 mpg), for a range of 224 to 229 statute miles. Top-end speed is 35.5 mph at 3606 rpm for range of 254 miles. (The above numbers are based on Tiara’s own performance tests.)

The 44 Coupe carries Tiara’s transferable limited warranties of 5 years on the hull and deck, and 2 years on accessories. Hull and deck construction feature a gelcoat outer layer, balsa-cored hullsides and handlaid fiberglass with premium resin. Wood and foam-core stringers are encapsulated in handlaid fiberglass and integrated with the hull. The deck features custom diamond-pattern non-skid on all cockpit surfaces.

The 44’s stylish, custom composite hardtop features an aluminum windshield frame with tempered safety glass, safety handrails and a dual wiper system. It also boasts a powered sunroof, plus LED navigation and courtesy lights.

Tiara devotes much attention to interior comforts, and the salon and helm are no exceptions. The former features large windows and sliding doors, all with blinds. Entertainment is provided by a 29″ LCD TV and Blu-Ray DVD player, Polk PA450UM head unit powered by JL Audio M-series digital amp with a pair of JL Audio 7.7″ component speakers and a Polk 8″ subwoofer with tuned enclosure. In steamy weather, a Marine Air Systems 22,000 BTU salon air-conditioning system keeps the interior cool and comfortable. At the helm is a double-wide seat with electric fore and aft adjustment and ramping vertical adjustment. To port is an L-lounge with teak dining table that seats 4. The helm is also outfitted with drink holders, 12V and 120V outlets, and a 17.5″ leather-wrapped steering wheel. Also standard is a Volvo Glass Cockpit electronics package with Garmin GRID remote aft of the joystick control for close-quarters maneuvering and docking.

Cockpit features include a molded-in, forward-facing lounge, a teak coffee/cocktail table, and port and starboard aft-facing seats, one with a cooler below and one with storage. Molded-in steps with safety rails lead to the deck walkways on either side of the boat, and there is LED courtesy lighting with remote control. The transom features entry doors to port and starboard with stainless-steel grab rails, plus a recessed transom shower with hot and cold water. The fresh- and raw-water washdowns both come with 25’ coiled hoses. The roomy transom storage compartment features a fiberglass liner and a one-piece actuated door, while the 60″ integrated swim platform is outfitted with a telescoping ladder.

The 44 features a central galley with safety handrails, Corian countertops, stainless-steel undermount sinks, recessed 2-burner electric cooktop, exhaust fan, Isotherm 120V refrigerator with lower-drawer freezer, and a microwave/convection oven. There is plenty of storage throughout.

Belowdecks, a private entrance leads to the master stateroom and head. The former features a pedestal berth with a pillowtop innerspring mattress, upholstered headboard, coverlet, and pillow shams. It also features a cedar-backed hanging locker, overhead indirect lighting, 2 reading lights, air conditioning, 19″ flat-screen TV, Blu-Ray DVD player and speakers.

The head comprises a fiberglass stall shower with sump pump, glass shower door, a teak countertop, lighted upper medicine cabinet with mirror, lower vanity storage, privacy shades for opening portlights, solid teak floor, a VacuFlush toilet and exhaust fan.
