URI Rowing Team May Lease Land on Narrow River

IndependentRI.com: The University of Rhode Island women’s rowing team has expressed interest in leasing town-owned property at 95 Middlebridge Road, Screen Shot 2015-04-06 at 3.06.09 PMthe site of the former Duke’s and Wiley’s restaurants. If approved, the proposal would bring revenue to the town [of Narragansett] for land that had been expected to remain vacant this year. In 2012, the town paid $1.4 million for the 9.51 acres along Middlebridge Road, which included buildings that house Narrow River Kayaks, and the former restaurant, along with a marina.
