Video: Boating on Pleasant Bay, MA

If you have a small boat, kayak, or paddleboard at your disposal, plan a trip to Pleasant Bay, on the elbow of Cape Cod.

To give you some more background on boating in this protected, shallow-water paradise, check out this short video (shot in 2014) featuring veteran boater and Pleasant Bay guru Willy Case of Nauset Marine East.

The tour begins in Meeting House Pond, in the upper reaches of Little Pleasant Bay. As the morning sun lights the marsh grass, Case and New England Boating host Tom Richardson head south along “The River” toward Little Pleasant Bay. Along the way, Case points out the various landings, islands, side creeks and hidden coves.
