Video Shows Man Helping Dolphin in Dartmouth, MA
April 18, 2016
SouthCoast Today: Nick LeBlanc was walking the beach on Round Hill Sunday afternoon when his girlfriend asked an unexpected question: Is that a dolphin?
He turned and sure enough, about 10 yards away, an Atlantic white-sided dolphin was swimming to shore. The animal was apparently trying to beach itself.
The dolphin had some scrapes on its dorsal fin, LeBlanc said, but did not appear to have bite marks. LeBlanc tried to push the animal out to sea but the dolphin swam parallel to the shore and then headed back to shore, he said.
