Video: Tying the Uni Knot
October 12, 2010
The uni knot is an easy-to-tie and useful knot for connecting 2 lines, even lines of greatly varying diameter. This can be handy when building fly leaders, and for creating a wind-on leader system. The uni knot is fairly strong as well. When tying it, be sure to moisten the knot before tightening so that it cinches down firmly.
The uni knot can also be used for tying on hooks, swivels and lures. However, it is not as strong as the Palomar knot.
