Volunteers Clean Connecticut River

Roughly 2,000 volunteers recently turned out for a weekend cleanup along the Connecticut River and its tributaries in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont and New Hampshire, according to an article on MassLive.com.

As part of the 17th annual Connecticut River Watershed Council’s Source to Sea Cleanup, volunteers gathered on Saturday, October 5, 2013, to pick up everything from discarded bottles to battered shopping carts.
