Woman Medivaced from Cruise Ship off Nantucket

The Coast Guard is reporting that rescue crews medically evacuated a 41-year-old woman off the cruise ship Carnival Glory after the woman was reported to be suffering stroke-like symptoms approximately 55 miles southeast of Nantucket, Massachsusetts, on August 5, 2012.
Watchstaders at Sector Boston received notification at approximately 3:35 p.m., and Air Station Cape Cod immediately launched an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter. The woman was safely hoisted and transported to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
The woman’s condition is unknown.
