Yamaha V MAX SHO 200 X-Shaft Outboard & Even-Pitch Propellers
July 23, 2019
Yamaha Marine has added a V MAX SHO 200 X-Shaft model and three new, even-pitch XTO OS propellers for the powerful V8 XTO Offshore.
The 4.2-liter V6 V MAX SHO 200 X-Shaft is the latest addition to Yamaha’s family of high-performance four-strokes. The X-Shaft models, which include the V MAX SHO 250, 175, 150, 115 and 90 X-Shaft models, feature a 25-inch shaft that’s perfect for pontoon and multispecies boats. The lightweight, fuel-efficient and quiet V MAX SHO line boasts an excellent hole-shot and can be easily rigged with a choice of analog, 6Y5 digital or Command Link gauges.
To help fine-tune the performance of the V8 XTO Offshore outboards, Yamaha has added 18-, 20- and 22-inch even pitches to its XTO OS propeller line. The XTO OS propellers use a very large diameter and specially designed blade surface to move today’s large, outboard-powered boats. The propellers work as part of a system to produce massive thrust in both forward and reverse. When combined, the XTO Offshore and the XTO OS propeller can produce up to 300% more reverse thrust than Yamaha’s F350 V8.
