Boston Whaler may have designed the new 365 Conquest with New England boaters in mind. After all, this brand-new design has all the features a boat needs to keep family and friends happy. A spacious cockpit offers all the room a crew needs to bring in the fish or enjoy a casual cruise. This cockpit has a few interesting features, including seating that folds out for the commute and gets out of the way when the fish get down to business. There’s a high seat with a slide out footrest that’s ideal for watching baits and talking to the skipper. Perhaps the most used feature will be the starboard side boarding gate, which makes it easy to get aboard for nearly anyone, even with their hands full of gear.
Just forward of the cockpit is the elevated helm deck area. The helm station has a pair of bright 19-inch Simrad displays and an adjustable captain’s chair. Situated under a robust hardtop and replete with companion dinette and alfresco kitchen, this area will keep everyone together and fed while heading off that lonely skipper syndrome (and if the skipper likes to have a little time apart, the upper station is an easy climb). The helm-deck area is surrounded by a substantial wraparound windshield topped by curtains that give complete control, open it up for fresh air, or zip it up for cozy comfort—just another way this boat is built to stretch both ends of the New England season.
The foredeck is ready for sun worshipers, with a large sunpad with grab handles and and cupholders. A high bowrail ensures safe transiting to manage ground tackle but its design with forward-raked stanchions only enhances the look of this cruiser.
Belowdecks, there’s a forward V-shaped seating area with a hilo table that tucks away beneath the wings of the berth that slide together to create a square berth that’s accessible from either side. Additional sleeping space is available in a crawl-in berth and a settee to port—she sleeps five all in. There’s a dry head compartment with separate shower, too.
Because Boston Whaler is part of Brunswick, she ships a pair of 600-horsepower Mercury Verado V12s so her performance is probably just what we’ve come to expect from The Unsinkable Legend, but best to try her for yourself.
