4 Boaters Rescued In Wells Harbor, Maine
Four boaters were rescued Saturday after their vessel ran aground in Wells Harbor, Maine.
Rescue crews from the Coast Guard and the Ogunquit Fire Department responded to a report of a boat stuck on rocks about 200 yards offshore of Wells at around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, October 4.
The vessel was a 23-foot center console with four people onboard.
The conditions during the rescue reportedly included dense fog and moderate surf.
Coast Guard officials said the boaters had been fishing that afternoon and were returning to Wells Harbor when they struck the rocks at a speed of roughly 16 knots.
Two of the people onboard reportedly suffered injuries, with one person suffering cuts to their hand, and other injuring their back.
