Boats Damaged In Maine Fire
Two boats were damaged during a fire at a boat storage facility in Maine on Monday.
According to fire department officials in Biddeford, Maine, they received a 911 call for a boat on fire inside of a boat storage building owned by Kennebunkport Marina at 7:46 a.m. on Monday, October 6.
After arriving on the scene at 7:51 a.m., fire crews found heavy smoke coming from the storage building and a large boat inside the building that was on fire.
Soon after, the fire extended to a second large boat inside the building and through the roof of the building.
The fire was brought under control after about 45 minutes at 8:28 a.m.
Both boats were reportedly destroyed by the fire.
Officials said the cause of the boat fire is currently under investigation, but it appears to be electrical.
