Boat Ramp Rebuild Delayed in Camden, Maine
Plans to install a new boat ramp in Camden, Maine, have been delayed until well into spring.
Camden is replacing its 25-year-old public launch ramp at Steamboat Landing with new, larger concrete planks.
Officials had planned to close access to the ramp from March 27 through April 12 to install the new ramp infrastructure.
However, officials say an unexpected permit issue has delayed those plans until April 28 through May 15.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is required to complete an environmental and historical analysis before the project can proceed.
