CT Resumes Stocking Trout, Salmon
After dry conditions caused a pause in stocking the state’s rivers and streams, Connecticut Fish and Wildlife crews have resumed fall trout and salmon stocking.
On Wednesday, October 15, Connecticut Fish and Wildlife officials posted an update on their Facebook page saying that thanks to recent rainfall, they have resumed trout and salmon stocking in rivers and streams.
They have now stocked more than 30,000 trout so far this fall.
The following was stocked within the past week:
♦ Black Rock Pond – TP, Watertown
♦ Day Pond – TP, Colchester
♦ Great Hollow Lake – TP, Monroe
♦ Mianus River – TMA, Greenwich/Stamford
♦ Mill River – TMA, Fairfield
♦ Mohegan Park Pond – TP, Norwich
♦ Salmon River – TTA & TMA, Colchester
♦ Shetucket River – TTA, Scotland/Sprague/Windham
♦ Wharton Brook Pond – TP, Wallingford
