Boating Regulations:
Lake Wononscopomuc: Restricted to boats with motors of 10 horsepower or less. No towing of skis or other flotation devices allowed.
Twin Lakes: Three waterskiers per boat, 35 mph limit except 6 mph speed limit within 200 feet of another vessel or dock. Also, 6 mph speed limit from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour after sunrise. Waterskiing activity to run counterclockwise on east and west halves of East Twin Lake.
Dockage, Moorings & Service:
O’Hara’s Landing Marina (860) 824-7583: Only full-service marina in the CT Lakes region. Offers a launch ramp (fee includes trailer parking), bait and tackle, and rentals of canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and pontoon boats.
Town of Salisbury (860) 435-5185: Offers dock space and moorings at Town Grove Beach and launch ramp. Also offers rowboat and kayak rentals.
Launch Ramp:
East Lake Dep Boat Launch: Suitable for kayaks and car-top boats only. Very shallow. Limited parking.
Salisbury Town Grove Park Launch: Access to Lakeville Lake (Wononscopomuc Lake). Fees are charged for the use of the ramp, beach, and park facilities.
Mary Peters Memorial Park: Small dirt ramp providing access to Lake Wononpakook.
Anchorages:
Overnight anchoring is not permitted in the Connecticut Lakes.
