the best cruising and fishing waters on Long Island Sound, Westbrook hosts several marinas that cater to everything from large yachts to small center consoles.
Dockage, Moorings & Service: Harbormaster(860) 399-3040: Vessels can tie up at the Town Dock on the Patchogue River for up to two hours at no charge.
Westbrook Marine Center(860) 399-8467: Full-service marina with 68 slips on the Patchogue River, just below the Singing Bridge. Storage, service, repair.
Safe Harbor Pilots Point Marina(860) 399-7906: Sprawling marina complex comprising three full-service yards. Offers gas and diesel, service, storage, pool, floating docks with water and electric, pump-out, restrooms, laundry, showers, and more.
Pier 76(860) 399-7122: Large marina with seasonal and transient slips, power, water, and service.
Launch Ramp: Kirtland Landing: Small public launch ramp providing access to the Menunketesuck. Located approximate two miles upstream from the river mouth. Limited parking.
Pier 76 Marina: Private ramp closer to the river mouth.
Anchorages: A well-protected anchorage with good holding ground can be found behind the Duck Island breakwater. Note: both Duck and Menunketesuck Islands are designated bird sanctuaries, so shore access is restricted through much of the season.
Cool Shops: Old Tyme Toys(203) 305-3004: Family-owned toy shop specializing in fun for the whole family. Carries everything from stuffed animals and puppets to board games and puzzles.
