At roughly 41 miles long by 10 miles wide, Moosehead is the largest inland waterbody in the state, and when the wind blows hard it can stack up some serious seas.
Dockage, Moorings & Service: Moosehead Marina(207) 534-4400: Moosehead’s largest marina. Offers transient dockage, a launch ramp, boat sales, and repairs in the town of Rockwood. Provides ready access to the central part of the lake.
Beaver Cove Marina(207) 695-3526: Full-service marina offering service, seasonal and daily slip rental, and a gas dock. Located on east shore of lake between Greenville and Lily Bay.
Dockside Inn & Tavern(207) 695-3663: Limited slips available for short-term dockage on the Greenville waterfront. Also offers lodging and a restaurant.
Launch Ramp: Public launch ramps with ample parking can be found in Greenville Junction, Rockwood (western shore), and Lily Bay State Park (eastern shore). There is a fee to launch at Lily Bay, which also offers free slips for its campground guests.
Anchorages: Boaters are free to anchor anywhere in the lake, outside of existing channels and seaplane landing/takeoff zones.

Located in downtown Greenville, Northwoods can arrange moose-watching tours, ATV tours and rentals, fly-fishing trips, whitewater-rafting excursions, mountain-bike rentals, snowmobile tours, and more. They will deliver kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards to campsites and rental properties.

Lily Bay State Park (207) 695-2700: Tent and RV camping on the eastern shore of Moosehead. Open May through Labor Day. Features a swimming beach, picnic areas, launch ramps, and dockage.

Steamship Katahdin (207) 695-2716: Tour Moosehead Lake aboard “The Kate,” a restored wooden steamboat berthed at the Moosehead Marine Museum in Greenville.
Mount Kineo Golf Course(207) 534-9012: Don’t be surprised if a moose strolls across the fairway at this beautiful nine-hole course on the Kineo Peninsula. Golfers can get there via their own boat or the Kineo ferry, which leaves from the Rockport town landing.
