Situated along Boston’s South Shore the geographic region that stretches south and east along the shores of Massachusetts Bay and Cape Cod Bay.
Launch Ramp: A free public launch ramp with ample parking is located on the northern part of the harbor, off Jericho Lane. Can accommodate large boats.
Kayaks and other hand-carried boats can be launched at the Maritime Center or at James Landing on the North River.
Anchorages: There are no approved anchorages inside Scituate Harbor. Anchoring in the ocean waters outside the harbor is not recommended.

Things To Do: Maritime & Irish Mossing Museum(781) 545-5565: Explore the history of the unique and once-thriving seaweed-harvesting industry that existed in Scituate. Also features a Shipwreck room and other exhibits relating to Scituate’s maritime past.
Cool Shops: Welch Company(781) 545-1400: Coastal-themed gift and home-furnishings shop featuring work by local artists. A fixture in Scituate since 1879.
Kukstis Woodcarving(781) 378-2564: Studio and gallery of hand-carved folk art, birds, and signs crafted in the New England tradition. Carving classes available, too.
Where to Stay: Inn at Scituate Harbor(781) 545-5550: Comfortable inn overlooking the harbor. One of a handful of accommodations on the waterfront, the Inn provides a Continental breakfast and harbor views from every room.
