Fishermen Pull Up Decomposing Body Off MA Coast

A fishing boat working off the Massachusetts coast reportedly pulled up a decomposing body in their fishing nets on Friday.

According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, detectives working for their office and Coast Guard officials responded to the boat in Boston after it reported finding the body Friday morning.

The crew of the boat said the body came up in their fishing nets while they were fishing roughly 40 miles off the Massachusetts coast.

Officials with the DA’s office said the body was “wrapped and in a state of decomposition.”

The body was turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
