With its convenient location on Long Island Sound, state-of-the-art facilities, and easy access to top-notch restaurants and attractions, Connecticut’s Bridgeport Harbor Marina is a relative newcomer that has quickly become one of the premier marinas in New England.
Conveniently located between New York City to the west and Newport to the east, Bridgeport Harbor Marina is on the Steelpointe Peninsula at the mouth of Bridgeport Harbor and offers easy access to Long Island Sound.
The marina has a 25-foot approach depth at low water, and the inner harbor is well protected. But boaters should keep an eye out to avoid the Port Jefferson Ferry, which runs from Bridgeport to Port Jefferson on Long Island.
The marina opened in 2019 and has more than 200 slips. At the marina, boaters have access to in-slip pumpout services; diesel and gas with high-speed delivery; air-conditioned bathroom, shower, and laundry facilities; water and electricity; and complimentary Wi-Fi. Boaters can also use complimentary golf carts and hand carts.
Visiting boaters have a lot to enjoy in the Bridgeport area, but they don’t have to go far. In fact, some boaters might not even want to leave the marina as it’s worth the trip just to enjoy the Boco Oyster Bar. The beautiful waterfront restaurant is located right at Bridgeport Harbor Marina and features fresh seafood, signature cocktails, and breathtaking harbor views. Visitors can also find other excellent restaurants close by, including Joseph’s Steakhouse and Ralph n Rich’s, an old school Italian restaurant.
Besides many restaurants, the area is also home to lots of interesting shops and boutiques. For visitors seeking some fun nightlife, they can have a laugh at the Stress Factory Comedy Club, or enjoy a concert at the nearby Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater or Total Mortgage Arena.
