Newport Boat Show Kicks Off Sept. 11

The prestigious Newport International Boat Show returns to the Newport, Rhode Island waterfront this weekend.

This year’s show takes place September 11 to 14 and will feature roughly 400 exhibitors and the largest in-water display in New England, with a wide array of powerboats, sailboats, marine accessories, boating products, services, and more.

The show is spread out over 17 acres with multiple interconnected show sites in historic downtown Newport.

Attendees can walk the docks and admire a spectacular display of shiny new sailboats and powerboats, some making their first-ever debut in the United States.

Also on deck are educational seminars, in-water boating courses and VIP experiences. Among them will be Cruisers Classroom. These discussions and panels take place in a classroom setting and cover a wide range of marine-related subjects, including anchoring and mooring,  diesel basics, weather safety and navigation, chartering, boat buying, maintenance, and more.

The show will also feature Tech Talks, with courses on lithium batteries, electronically-controlled diesel engines, and gel coat repair.
