Portland Christmas Boat Parade Coming Dec. 14

The annual Portland Harbor Christmas Parade of Lights will be held on the evening of Saturday, December 14 in Portland, Maine. Those who still have their boats in the water are invited to dress up their boats in Christmas lights and join the parade. Participants are required to fill out the following form (boat registration form) or contact the organizers by email at soulmatesv@gmail.com. Line positions should be completed by Thursday December 11.

Casco Bay Lines is selling special event tickets to spectators who want a water-level view aboard one of its ferries. Spectators can also view the parade at plenty of spots around the harbor, including waterfront restaurants, DiMillo’s Marina and the Maine State Pier.

The parade wraps up with a spectacular fireworks finale.
