Sailfest is New London’s annual waterfront festival, attracting sailers, cruisers, and daytrippers by land and sea from all over the region.
The event celebrates all New London has to offer with a welcoming festive vibe. Local acts play live music on multiple stages, there’s a wide variety of food to try, from seafood and fried dough to food trucks offering pretty much anything one could imagine. Enjoy a cold pint from a selection of local brews in the craft beer tent, and attractions including parades, carnival rides, and the always-popular Dress Like a Pirate day. There are art and woodworking shows where area artisans to show off their work, a classic car show, and a 5K road race for athletes to strut their stuff. Reserve a mooring or slip early to get access to all this port of call has to offer, including a front-row seat for the fireworks display.
