Simrad Introduces New AutoTrack Feature for HALO Radars

Simrad Yachting has unveiled a new AutoTrack feature for its HALO 2000 and HALO 3000 Radars.

HALO’s Dangerous Target Alerts graphically highlight range, bearing and heading of other vessels relative to yours.
AutoTrack automatically detects, tracks, and prioritizes moving vessels and other targets, enhancing situational awareness and improving on-water safety.
Within the radar app, AutoTrack seamlessly overlays vessels and potential hazards, providing intuitive visual references along with their trajectories for effortless situational awareness.

VelocityTrack™ uses Doppler technology to show targets colour-coded so you can identify potential threats at a glance.
Even when the radar screen is not in use, AutoTrack remains vigilant, delivering a smart, dynamic widget that shows only the most critical, intelligently prioritized alerts, enabling boaters to make confident decisions without unnecessary distractions.
With the ability to track targets up to 24 nautical miles away and monitor up to 50 objects simultaneously, AutoTrack ensures comprehensive coverage and enhanced safety.
The new feature is enabled by default with the latest HALO 2000/3000 V8.2.0.32 software update and can easily be turned on or off in radar settings. It is fully integrated with the HALO 2000/3000 radar system, and Simrad plans to roll out the Simrad HALO dome radars in the near future.
Designed to feel like a natural part of the Simrad interface, AutoTrack works seamlessly with Simrad multifunction displays, including the NSS and NSO evo3 and evo3S series with software version 25.1, and the NSX, NSX ULTRAWIDE and NSS 4 displays with the 2.1 or later software.
