Spring Boat Show Coming Up in April

There are many boats to see docked at the marina.

Need a sign that warmer days are just around the corner? Then how about this: New England’s first in-water boat show of the year is coming up next month.

The Connecticut Spring Boat Show will take place April 25 to 27 at Safe Harbor Essex Island in Essex, Connecticut.

Attendees will get the chance to climb aboard a wide range of new and pre-owned power and sailboats ranging from 20 feet up to 65 feet.

In addition to boats on the dock, the show will have yacht brokers, gear, artists, accessories, and service companies exhibiting on the lawn. Local bands will provide music throughout the weekend.

The event is more than just a chance to check out boats and gear. It’s also an opportunity to raise money for a good cause.

This year’s boat show seeks to raise $30,000.00 for Sails Up 4 Cancer, a non-profit organization supporting cancer care, education, prevention and research. Last year, almost $29,000 was raised at the show from a wide range of activities as well as the gate. Sails Up 4 Cancer benefits from 50 percent of ticket sales proceeds and will be onsite with additional fundraising opportunities throughout the weekend.

Tickets are available now at $20 per adult and are free for children 13 and under. Tickets grant access to the show all weekend long. Walk-up, day-of tickets are $22 per adult.
