Tisbury, MA, Hires New Harbormaster

The Tisbury, MA, select board recently approved Edgartown police officer Gary Kovack for the role of harbormaster. If hired, Kovack would replace former harbormaster John Crocker, who retired on July 2 after 10 years on the job.

According to the MV Times, Kovack is a Tisbury resident and a senior reserve officer at Coast Guard Station Woods Hole. As harbormaster, Kovach would be responsible for boating-related operations and regulations enforcement in Vineyard Haven Harbor, Lake Tashmoo, and Lagoon Pond.
