Visit the 2024 WoodenBoat Show

The WoodenBoat Show is always well attended.

If you find yourself cruising in the general vicinity of Eastern Connecticut, add a day (or more) to your itinerary and set a course for the Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic for the 2024 WoodenBoat Show.

The show runs June 28th to 30th at the Museum and it’s a great opportunity to hobnob with those folks who think that there is nothing—absolutely nothing—half so much worth doing as messing about with varnish, fasteners, steamboxes, and all manner of antique boatbuilding ephemera. The end result is nothing short of exhilarating, a mind-blowing combination of nostalgia, classic sensibility, technology, and the iron will to create it and maintain it. Along with the Concours d’Élegance, there’s the WoodenBoat 50th Anniversary Party themed “Boats, Beer & Bluegrass,” a speaker series, skills demonstrations from master builders, the “I Built It Myself” exhibit, and of course beautiful boats to view, and some available to purchase. It could change your life.
