Longtime Edgartown, MA, harbormaster Charlie Blair has announced that he will retire from the position this spring after three decades of service.

In a letter to the select board, Blair thanked the town and said he was honored to have served in the role. He also cited medical issues as a reason for his retirement.

Blair’s retirement officially begins March 27.  No replacement has been announced, but Edgartown officials expect new harbormaster to be named prior to the busy summer season.
