One of New England’s most iconic sailing traditions will celebrate its 55th year in May.
The 2026 Figawi Race Weekend will take place on Nantucket Sound over Memorial Day Weekend, May 22 through 24.
The annual event features more than 200 sailboats racing between Hyannis and Nantucket Harbor, and it attracts a mix of seasoned racers, weekend sailors, and thousands of spectators who come for both the on-water spectacle and the shoreside scene.
Figawi Race Weekend begins with a welcome party on Friday, then the main race takes place Saturday, followed by dockside celebrations, tent parties, live music, and charity-driven events Saturday and Sunday.
