Monomoy Shootout Fishing Tournament Begins August 14

New England anglers will get the chance to take part in an exciting fishing tournament on Cape Cod next weekend while raising money for a great cause.

The annual Monomoy Shootout fishing tournament will take place in Chatham, Massachusetts, on August 14 and 15.

The event is held by North Chatham Outfitters. Participating anglers will hunt striped bass, blue fish, black sea bass, and bluefin tuna while raising money for the Lillylulu Foundation, an organization that benefits Type One Diabetes research.

The tournament starts with a captains dinner and a review of the rules at The Red Nun Bar & Grill on the evening of Thursday, August 14. The fishing action begins the next morning, Friday, August 15, at 5 p.m. and lasts until 3 p.m.

Afterwards, organizers will host a party with prizes and awards from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Outermost Harbor Marina.
