Newport Boat Show Returns Sept. 17–20

The prestigious Newport International Boat Show returns to the Newport, Rhode Island waterfront September 17 – 20, featuring roughly 400 exhibitors and the largest in-water display in New England. Stop by, and you’ll find a wide array of powerboats, sailboats, marine accessories, boating products, services, and more on display.

As one of the largest in-water boat shows in the United States and theand the premier show in New England, the Newport International Boat Show is spread across 17 acres, with docks accessing new powerboats and sailboats from inflatables to multihulls ranging from 15 to 90 feet. The show features multiple interconnected show sites in historic downtown Newport. Attendees can walk the docks and admire a spectacular display of shiny new sailboats and powerboats, some making their first-ever debut in the United States. 

Also on deck are educational seminars, in-water boating courses, and VIP experiences. Among them will be Cruisers Classroom. These discussions and panels take place in a classroom setting and cover a wide range of marine-related subjects, including anchoring and mooring, diesel basics, weather safety and navigation, chartering, boat buying, maintenance, and more. 

The four-day show will also feature Tech Talks, with courses on lithium batteries, Gel Coat Repair, and Diesel Electronics. Seating for these seminars is limited so register early. Show hours run 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m.  5 p.m. on Sunday.  

  Additionally, The Newport Wooden Boat Show runs during the exact same four days as the Newport Show and is held at Bowens Wharf, adjacent to the Newport Boat Show’s main downtown footprint. A dedicated water taxi connects the Newport International Boat Show’s different venues —including Bowen’s Wharf and the Newport Shipyard (which hosts the Brokerage Show) —allowing you to hop between them easily.
