6 Restaurants Worth Cruising To Scituate
The town of Scituate, on Massachusetts’ South Shore, is an under-the-radar boating destination that delights in-the-know visitors with its beautiful beaches, scenic rivers, and lots of activities to enjoy.
For boaters who also consider themselves foodies — or just like to eat — Scituate is also home to many fantastic restaurants that are conveniently near the harbor. In fact, it’s worth planning a cruise to Scituate just to enjoy a meal or two that you won’t soon forget.
Here are six restaurants that are worth making the trip to Scituate.
With stunning panoramic views of Scituate Harbor, the atmosphere at The Mill Wharf Restaurant is as appealing as its menu. And its menu is incredible, with delicious seafood specialties, a raw bar, wood-fired pizza, and an extensive cocktail list. Boaters can easily dock at Mill Wharf Marina.
Located across from Scituate Harbor Marina, Satuit Tavern is a casual, family-friendly favorite. It features an extensive menu that includes fresh seafood, chowder, pizza, calzones, steak tips, pasta, and creative sandwiches.
Close to Mill Wharf, the Salt Society is a casual restaurant that is a hit among sushi lovers. They offer a large selection of specialty maki, interesting sushi appetizers (try the Lobster Avocado Embrace!), and entrees like scallop lo mein and pan-roasted halibut. Not a seafood person? Try their burger or steak, plus they put on an excellent Sunday brunch.
A short walk from the Scituate waterfront, the Galley Kitchen and Bar is a contemporary gastro pub specializing in small plates, local brews, shucked oysters, and anything and everything that’s fresh and local.
A cozy cafe right on the harbor, Lucky Finn Café features fine coffees, desserts, acai bowls, sandwiches, wraps, and espresso. You can also enjoy the Lucky Finn coffee experience at home by purchasing their own special coffee by the bag.
Located a block from the harbor, Chopsticks and Forks serves up fine Japanese cuisine. While their sushi takes center stage (for good reason), the rest of their menu is also phenomenal, with steak and seafood entrees, delicious noodle and rice dishes, and much more.
